This workshop will equip participants with comprehensive skills in assessing and treating people experiencing a first episode of a mood disorder, with a focus on mania. The workshop will have an interactive focus, illustrated with clinical case examples.
At the completion of this workshop you will be able to:
- Summarise key diagnostic criteria of first episode mania
- Outline recent research in first presentation mania
- Identify the principles of biological intervention in first episode mania
- Apply the principles of psychosocial intervention in first episode mania
